Paramount Skydance Plans to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – News

Paramount Skydance plans to begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 US jobs within a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August worth $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance intending to reveal all specifics during its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates had indicated the company aimed to cut from 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.

As of December 2024, Paramount had about 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 contract workers.

Paramount Skydance has not provided a response on the matter.
